Smart Girls Read - Ally
Description
Do you love to read? Do you love to talk about books? Do you read more in the summer? If so, Smart Girls Read is the place to be for you this summer. We will read one book a month (June, July, August) and meet to discuss the book and its themes while making new friends!

For our August event we'll be reading A Fish In A Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt. Fish in a Tree is a novel that plays on the well-known quote “Everybody is smart in different ways. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its life believing it is stupid.” The book is about a young girl Ally, who is constantly changing schools.

Discussion is facilitated by Dr. Kelly Jameson, a therapist and speaker in Dallas who specializes in teens! Dr. Jameson has loved reading since middle school when she was captivated by books series The Babysitter's Club and Sweet Valley High. She has been reading ever since and believes books help us better understand ourselves and the world around us. Sign up today to reserve your spot!
