Reading Workshop- 2nd-3rd
Description
Reading Workshop- 2nd-3rd
Grades: 2nd-3rd

Dive into a week dedicated to reading! This program revolves around the use of small readers, emphasizing reading clues and answering comprehension questions. Tailored for students at various stages of their reading journey, we introduce pre-literacy skills, word decoding techniques, and phonetic sound exploration for beginners. Engaging in lively reading groups, campers will focus on comprehension, fluency, and decoding strategies through interactive games and activities. Our workshop is thoughtfully designed to foster self-esteem, ignite enthusiasm for reading, and combat the summer slump. The Academy workshops are capped to ensure a small student to teacher ratio. Progress reports will be sent home on Friday identifying activities, strengths, and areas for improvement.
