Introduction to Visiting Colleges
Description
Introduction to Visiting Colleges
Grades 9-12

For many students, the process of figuring out which school best fits their needs is an overwhelming and confusing task. Just as you would never purchase a home without visiting in person, students shouldn't decide on their next four-year home without first stepping on campus and seeing if it is indeed the right fit. This camp is designed to help students discover the kind of campus experience they’re looking for- we’ll visit a mixture of small, medium, and large universities as well as universities housed in cities and small towns. Students will take official campus tours, speak with current students, partake in campus activities such as on-campus dining, athletic complex tours, student union offerings, etc. They will come out of this camp with a better understanding of what they’re looking for, as well as practical tips for being discerning consumers on future campus tours. We anticipate visiting the campuses SMU, TCU, and UNT, as well as two others in the DFW metroplex.
Transportation to campuses will be provided.
