This class is a combination of both Hip-Hop and Jazz and has an upbeat, stylistic dance style. Students will focus on rhythm, shapes, and style performed to hip-hop music. Hip Hop can range from hard hitting large body movements to intricate isolations of hands and feet. It is a wide-range dance style that has many different styles within its frame. Jazz dance is a style combining the fundamentals of ballet with early urban/hip-hop inspiration. Attire: Black leotard (tank or spaghetti straps), Black boy short optional (must wear flesh colored convertible tights), No shoes, and hair pulled up.
