Grades: K-Primer
This hands-on class offers a mixture of real science and imagination. Each week students may bring a stuffed animal pet from home to practice skills. Vet techs will suit up in lab coats to learn bandaging techniques, ear checks, counting heart rate and how to care for your pet during a vet visit. Vets will also learn how the heart pumps using a heart pump model, practice sutures, and view X-rays on a light table! On the last day of class, we will bake, create and take-home pet treats and the recipe as a take home gift.
