First LEGO League Robotics Team

Join the LEGO Robotics Team and learn how to build and code with LEGO Robots!

Our after school robotics clubs for 4th-5th graders are all about problem solving, getting creative, exploring new ideas, and having fun! This fall, we will be exploring the FIRST LEGO League’s new competition “City Shapers” using LEGO EV3 Mindstorms robots. Youth will learn basic engineering, building, and programming skills, along with time management, group participation, and disaster mitigation. (What to do if your robot completely falls apart. ) These programs are sure to build important life-skills, instill confidence, and help kids find their sparks.

This 13 week after school Lego Robotics Club is designed for youth who are committed to participating in the regional First Lego League competition here in Bend, usually mid-December (on a Saturday, date TBA).

  • Play games that introduce coding principles

  • Learn how to program with the Lego Mindstorms EV3 software

  • Work in teams to customize robots

  • Complete missions

  • Go on field trips to see robots at work!

  • Computers provided.

No previous experience in coding or Robotics necessary, just a desire to learn!

Location: Amity Creek Elementary School

The Lego Robotics Team will meet in the Studio.  Students from other elementary schools are also welcome to attend.
