Camp Fire teens will explore the essential combination of stewardship and recreation on this program.  Come learn about river ecology, restoration, and rafting!

The group will participate in a service project led by Trout Unlimited and then spend their last 2 days rafting the McKenzie with Ouzel Outfitters. This trip will be fun and rewarding!

Campers will meet Monday and Tuesday at 9:00am at Bear Creek Elementary School.  Tuesday and Wednesday nights will be spent camping at Delta Campground in the Willamette National Forest.  We will return to Bear Creek Elementary in the late afternoon on Thursday (exact time TDB)

Participants will meet on Monday, July 9, from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm to spend the day with an introduction to rivers, getting to know each other with team building challenges and getting ready for their camping trip.

On Tuesday, campers should meet packed and ready to go at 9:00 am.  The group will head out to the Metolius River for a rewarding and challenging day of exploration and restoration with Trout Unlimited.  From there we head to Delta Campground on the McKenzie River.

They will spend the next 2 days, Wednesday and Thursday, whitewater rafting on the McKenzie River!

A packing list and further program details will be sent the week before the program.  If you are not sure if you need certain equipment, please contact us before you purchase anything!
