Join us this summer for Summit Country Day’s, first ever, Jazz Band Camp! It’s an exciting opportunity for students to explore the world of Jazz through performance, creativity, and collaboration. Led by Dr. Dan Grantham, Summit’s new Instrumental Music Director, this camp is designed for high school students who want to strengthen their musical skills while learning the fundamentals of jazz performance in a fun and encouraging environment. Throughout the week, students will learn the basics of jazz style, rhythm, improvisation, and ensemble-playing while exploring famous jazz melodies, composers, and performers. Whether students are new to jazz or already have experience playing in a band, this camp is a wonderful way to grow musically and discover the joy of performing jazz. Grill out and concert included.
