Summer Finance

Grades 9-12

Time: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (9 a.m. to noon will be in person at school with the remaining two hours being asynchronous instruction with work that will be due by end of that same day. Late work will not be accepted, and three late assignments will constitute one absence)

Cost: $800

Instructor: Kevin Schomaker, Summit Upper School Teacher

This course includes all material covered in the semester class, which includes all the essential personal finance topics necessary to become a financially capable student. Topics include banking, credit, budgeting, investing, insurance, taxes and more. By the end of this course, students will have a thorough understanding of personal finance topics and be prepared to handle the financial responsibilities that exist after graduation. To receive course credit, students must be present for each session; any student who misses more than 1 day will not be eligible for course credit and will need to repeat the course during the school year.

**As this is an accelerated summer class, not all accommodations may be available to students. We will make our best effort to meet the needs of all students, but please know that we cannot guarantee all accommodations will be met.
