Girls That Rock: K - 4th
Description
K-4
Andrea Bennett, LS Administrative Asst & class of ‘02, and Arielle Wilson, Montessori Teacher & class of ‘06, are continuing their successful after-school group dedicated to all girls who identify as students of color in grades K-4. The goal is to foster a supportive community where students feel seen and heard, providing a safe space to share their experiences and build meaningful connections. Through conversations, creative activities, and hands-on projects, the group aims to promote empowerment, self-awareness, and mutual appreciation. This program is designed to strengthen community bonds among participants, encouraging collaboration and friendship across grade levels. By cultivating an inclusive environment, the group hopes to inspire confidence and a sense of belonging among all members. The group will meet every second Tuesday of each month from 3:30 to 4:45, offering a variety of planned activities that nurture creativity, connection, and community building throughout the year.
