New, Returning, Junior or Volunteer Staff Application
Description
Welcome to the Camp Chickagami staff application for staff and volunteers.
Steps to getting hired at Camp Chickagami:
1. Complete your application (this includes submitting ALL forms - application, background check, and three references)
2. Have three references complete a reference check form (included in the application process)
3. Our staff will connect with you once we have the application & references to schedule a 30-minute interview via ZOOM.
This year, we will run various program opportunities from mid-June through the beginning of August. Family camps, overnight camps, retreats, and day camps at Camp Chickagami, Summer Camp Counselors will provide support to all programs during the summer.
Specific weeks of employment and volunteering will be discussed in the interview and through provided information in your application.
Interviews and hiring will be on a rolling basis. All staff must have a background check and complete all paperwork before confirming employment.
Please note that thoughtful yet brief responses are welcomed in our application. If you have difficulty accessing or completing the application, contact directors@campchickagami.org, and we can help you!
All persons hired for Camp Chickagami must submit the Consent to Treat form and complete a Voluntary Disclosure Statement about criminal history.
Certification opportunities will be made available to staff hired early in the season.
Questions? Concerns? Ideas? Contact directors@campchickagami.org.
Note: If you are under 18 and applying to be a Junior Staff person, you must have your parent or guardian create your account for you. The reason for this is that while you may be applying to be a staff person, you are still a minor, and the State of Michigan requires us to have certain permissions from your parents to employ you at our camp.
