When: July 15 – July 19, 2019, 8:45 am – 3 pm

Location: Camp Currie, Camas, WA

Grades 1-12. Come be one of our castaways at "Segonku Island." Participate in challenges and share the ultimate reward! Get ready to Outsmart, Outlaugh, and Outfun the other tribes. Form alliances to Survive a week of cooking, songs, games, crafts, archery, hiking, and outdoor skills.

Fees:
Campers up to 6th grade: $70
Program Aides and Program Aides-In-Training: $50
Tagalongs: $30

Registration: Registration opens March 5, 2019 and closes when camp is full. Registration is hosted by the Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington council; please email answers@girlscoutsosw.org with questions.

Cancellation: Please contact answers@girlscoutsosw.org if you need to cancel your registration. Cancellations received before April 15, 2019 will have camp fees fully refunded. Cancellations received by June 1, 2019 will be refunded, minus a $35.00 cancellation fee. After June 1, 2019 no refunds will be issued. The $25 Girl Scout National Membership fee is non-refundable at any time.

Units: Campers are placed in units by Girl Scout Program level.

Transportation: Transportation to camp is not provided.

Overnight: An overnight will be held on the last day of camp, July 19, 2019 for campers entering 4th grade and up. Campers must be picked up on Saturday, July 20, 2019 by 9 am.

Program Aides: Program Aides are required to complete the regular Segonku registration and the PA registration application. Program Aides are going into 8th grade and up and have attended a council-approved PAIT training. Program Aides must attend a half-day onsite training on Saturday, June 22, 2019 and will receive a special mid-week bonus after hours.

Volunteers: Camp Segonku is a Girl Scout Day Camp that operates solely on volunteer support. Volunteers that attend the full week of camp will be given priority unit placement. Children of full-time volunteers are guaranteed placement in a unit. A $10 discount on the camper’s fee (girls 1st – 6th grade) is given to children of full-time volunteers. Volunteers of Junior units are expected to stay the night on Friday, July 19th.

All adult volunteers will be required to have a Girl Scout membership for the current membership year and a background check through Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Volunteer training is the trick to a good camp experience. On-Site Training is Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 9 am to 3 pm. All new Segonku volunteers are requested to attend the full day and all others are welcome to attend the afternoon session only.

If you discover that you cannot volunteer for camp, please give us ample time to find a replacement. Your boy and/or widget may not attend without you. The $25 Girl Scout National Membership fee is non-refundable.

Widgets and Boys: The Widget and boys units are open to the children of volunteers only. Widgets are children ages 2 through kindergarten. The boys unit is open to boys in 1st through 6th grade.
