Baking and Art
Description
Campers will spend the mornings using math and science to measure and mix ingredients to create healthy baked goods while learning how to be safe in the kitchen. Interdispersed throughout the week, campers will also experience various arts and crafts related to food.
During the afternoons, we will investigate the art of food: how do artists celebrate food in their art? We will look at various bodies of work by artists through history and now as we explore other mediums to create food art. We will also collect the recipes that we will make throughout the week into a special cookbook!
*This camp is not a good fit for campers with a food allergy or sensitivity.
