Summer Courses for Credit General Information

Summer Courses for Credit are restricted to CHCA students enrolled for the following school year. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and opens on 01/27/24.
At registration, you will schedule a future automatic payment for the full amount. Payment is non-refundable and non-transferable after 02/17/24 at 12:00 p.m. Payments collected on 02/23/24. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, the scheduled payment will be cancelled before any fees are collected. If the cancellation impacts your student’s 2024-2025 course selections, you may contact us at that time for adjustments to their schedule.
Email the teacher directly if you have questions about the course content, workload, or syllabus. No classes are held on weekends.
Because summer course schedules are condensed and academic content is uncompromised, attendance is strictly enforced, and a student cannot pass a class for which he/she is not present for the stated meeting times. Please do not register for summer classes that conflict with the student’s other summer obligations.

In this study of Euclidean geometry, students study relationships between congruent and similar figures, study and use deductive and inductive logic to understand the structure of geometry, and use technology to discover relationships. Topics include: plane figures and their properties, transformational geometry, coordinate geometry, right triangle trigonometry, area and volume.

Prerequisite: Algebra I
Credit: 1

Teacher will be available for help sessions on Zoom twice per week throughout the summer.
