Entrepreneurship Internship (Virtual: Levels I, II, III, or IV; Carter)
Description
Summer Courses for Credit General Information

Summer Courses for Credit are restricted to CHCA students enrolled for the following school year. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and opens on 01/27/24.
At registration, you will schedule a future automatic payment for the full amount. Payment is non-refundable and non-transferable after 02/17/24 at 12:00 p.m. Payments collected on 02/23/24. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, the scheduled payment will be cancelled before any fees are collected. If the cancellation impacts your student’s 2024-2025 course selections, you may contact us at that time for adjustments to their schedule.
Email the teacher directly if you have questions about the course content, workload, or syllabus. No classes are held on weekends.
Because summer course schedules are condensed and academic content is uncompromised, attendance is strictly enforced, and a student cannot pass a class for which he/she is not present for the stated meeting times. Please do not register for summer classes that conflict with the student’s other summer obligations.

NOTE - Instead of hands-on internship at one of the school's student run businesses, students must secure their OWN summer internship and work a minimum of 60 hours over the course of the summer while completing the online coursework to receive full credit.

(Level I & II) Students participate in both an online course covering key entrepreneurial concepts (leadership, teamwork, goal setting, pitching, starting a business) and a hands-on internship at one of the school's student-run businesses (The Leaning Eagle, Eagle Farms, Teaching Kitchen) or other qualifying opportunity. This course is a required element for the E&S Certificate.

Level I Prerequisite: Perspectives of Entrepreneurship and Successful Application
Credit: 1

Level II Prerequisite: Entrepreneurship Internship Level I and Successful Application

(Level III) Students develop leadership skills through taking a managerial role in one of the primary student-run businesses at the school (The Leaning Eagle, Eagle Farms, Teaching Kitchen) or other qualifying opportunity. As only two years of entrepreneurship internship are required for the Entrepreneurship and Sustainability Certificate, this course functions as a qualifying certificate elective.

Level III Prerequisite: Entrepreneurship Level II Internship and Successful Application
Credit: 1

Students in this course (Level IV) have completed three years of internship and will continue developing entrepreneurial skills while overseeing key aspects of one of the school's primary student-run businesses (The Leaning Eagle, Eagle Farms, Teaching Kitchen) or other qualifying opportunity. As only two years of entrepreneurship internship are required for the Entrepreneurship and Sustainability Certificate, this course functions as a qualifying certificate elective.
