Gr 1-2 Introduction to LEGO Engineering Camp
Description
Introduction to the Engineering Design Process: identify, research, plan & build, test, improve. Introduce concepts of measurement, speed, balance, mechanical movement, and structure. Guided, challenge, and free builds will focus on how to use simple machines including levers, pulleys, wheels and axles, and gears to prepare campers for more advanced engineering and robotics.

* WHEN
06/03/24 - 06/07/24 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.

* WHERE
The session will be held in the Upper E Cafeteria.

* WHAT TO BRING
* Campers should wear CLOSED-TOE tennis-type shoes for safety during outdoor “brain break” as well as protype testing outside
* Campers should bring: water bottle, personal snack (nut-free) *Label all items with Camper’s name
* Campers should bring or pre-apply sunscreen if necessary as there will be 1-2x 15 minute brain breaks and/or protype testing outside

* CLASS MINIMUM
A minimum of 14 students are needed to run this session. It is open to CHCA and non-CHCA students so please invite a friend or two!
