Description
Day Camp for ages 8 - 13 (entering grades 3 - 8). Children choose Activity Block classes for full day or half day enrichment. Classes run one week at a time from June 29 - July 31.

Camper's Day Out

Daily Paper: Summer Place Times
Campers create the Daily Paper with basic journalism skills including interviewing, editing and layout. The paper is distributed daily during lunch time.
Exploring Engineering
Campers will work in groups and use their creativity to accomplish daily challenges.
Gone Fishing
(Double-block class) Learn how to bait a hook, cast, and fish with a bobber. A fishing pole is required. Fishing is done off campus.

Jewelry for P.E.A.C.E.
Create cool jewelry to raise money for P.E.A.C.E. and its local community centers. You'll display and sell your pieces to other campers and staff as a fundraiser.
Minute to Win It at Summer Place
Campers will compete to accomplish various challenges based off the TV show.
Mystery Inc.
Gather around gang - it's time to solve a mystery! Mystery, Inc. will be the lead detectives gathering clues, presenting clues to the camp and solving the mystery during Mystery Week.
Nail & Hair Design
Learn how to design nails, create cool hair designs, and more.
Off-Broadway - On-Summer Place!
(Double-block class) Campers will work together to create a theatrical performance that they will perform for fellow campers at the end of the week. Students will learn about stage presence, positioning, and performance, all while enjoying creating the show. No previous acting experience is needed!
Off-Broadway - Stagehand and Design
(Double-block class) In this class, you'll create the set and make the entire production come alive! Show is at the end of the week.
Outdoor Games
Play a variety of fun outdoor games including croquet, lawn darts, paddle and pickle ball, bocce ball, Can Jam, horseshoes and more!
Paper Flowers
Want to make something beautiful out of something ordinary? Let's make flowers. Learn the basic skills of sculpting papers into flowers that look fresh picked from the garden.
Ping-Pong
Enjoy this highly popular recreational and competitive sport as you learn how to play table tennis correctly.
Rugby
Learn and play the international game of Rugby in a friendly, non-contact environment. Campers will learn the basic skills and rules of Rugby.

Survivor at Summer Place
Get ready castaways! Forming tribes, you'll work together with your teammates to complete the daily challenges.
The Art of Magic Tricks & Balloons
Come & have fun with Jeff the Magic Man! Each class will feature BRAND NEW magic tricks & balloon twisting creations. Campers will also have access to Jeff’s magical library that contains THOUSANDS of magic tricks waiting to be learned! Campers will also get to keep all of the balloon creations that we make in class.
The Masked Performer
Create your own costume and create and practice your performance to showcase and reveal!
Things That Fly
Campers will make paper airplanes, kites and other things that fly.
Ultimate Kickball
Play a different style of kickball each day - Longball, Matball, Six Base, Survivor, and more!
Upcycled Fashion Runway
We'll go shopping at the local thrift store and choose items to upcycle, turning them into cool pieces of clothing that you'll want to wear. You'll show them off on the runway at the end of the week.
