Description
Prerequisite: Flying Scot skipper rating & weigh at least 90 pounds (this weight requirement is for safety reasons- these boats take a lot of weight to right should the boat capsize)

For our campers who have received their skippers rating in Flying Scot and are 12 years +. A more advanced sailing camp on the fast and wet HOBIE Getaways. This boat is a sure-fire ticket to multi-hull fun. In this camp you will discover boat handling with multi-hulls, hull flying, points of sail, sail trim (main & jib), and of course, how to right a capsized multi-hull. 3-4 campers plus an instructor, on and off the boat, will get you set up for a fantastic, successful week of camp.
While these campers are always supervised, we do give our 12- 15 year olds responsibility for both themselves and the equipment. Campers need to handle themselves maturely and follow directions. This camp is also available to 12-15 year olds who have taken Flying Scot a number of times with a First Mate rating and a counselor recommendation ( please check with Amy if this your child's situation.)

Minimum age 12 years old – no exceptions

Camp meets Monday through Friday. No camp July 4th
