Program Information and requirements:

Check in and check out:
All Afterschool & Pre-K Afterschool families are expected to come in the building and check their child out of program. All families are required to arrange transportation to and from program for their child.

Bathroom Procedures:
Children enrolled in the Susitna Pre-K Afterschool Program must be consistently potty trained and able to use the toilet independently before attending the program. This includes recognizing the need to use the restroom, communicating that need to staff, managing clothing independently, wiping, flushing the toilet, and washing hands with minimal assistance.

Camp Fire staff will provide reminders, encouragement, and supervision as appropriate but are not able to provide routine diapering, pull-up changes, or one-on-one toileting assistance.

If a child has repeated toileting accidents that indicate they are not yet consistently potty trained, Camp Fire will partner with the family to determine whether the program is an appropriate fit at that time. Families may be asked to delay or pause enrollment until the child is able to consistently use the toilet independently.

What to bring:
All programs: Camp Fire Programs go outside every day. Wear weather appropriate gear for all seasons. Bring a water bottle.

Pre-K Afterschool program: Children should wear clothing that would not preclude them from participating in activities and soiling clothing.

One change of clothes is encouraged. Pre-K need to bring: Spare pants, shirt, socks and undergarments that are to be left at site. Label all garments.
