What does it mean to find peace — not as an escape from the world, but as a way of moving through it?Join us this July for "Finding Peace: Spiritual Practices for Peacemaking," a retreat led by Bishop Anne, rooted in Scripture and the deep wells of the Christian tradition. Together we'll explore what it means to cultivate peace within ourselves and become channels of peace for the world around us. This is not a conference or a lecture series — it's a retreat, designed to hold both structure and breathing room.Camp Chickagami's setting does its own quiet work, and we'll let it.


WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This retreat is open to any adult seeking grounding, rest, and a deeper rootedness in their faith. Whether you're feeling worn down by the world, hungry for something more, or simply ready for a weekend away, you are welcome here. You do not need to be Episcopalian or come with a strong faith background — come as you are.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:
Teaching Sessions with Bishop Anne: Bishop Anne will offer several teaching pieces across the weekend, rooted in Scripture and the Christian tradition of peacemaking. Sessions are paced to allow time for reflection between them — this is not a packed schedule.
Worship Woven into the Weekend: Worship is integrated throughout the retreat rather than confined to a single service. Expect liturgy that feels connected to the land and the rhythm of camp. The weekend closes with Eucharist on Sunday morning.
Music and Communal Singing: A musician will lead music throughout the weekend. Community singing is a central part of the retreat experience — no experience or ability required.
Creative and Contemplative Practices: Hands-on creative elements, time in nature, and contemplative practices are woven throughout the weekend to help participants engage with the theme in embodied, memorable ways.
Intentional Rest: Free time is built into the schedule on purpose. Walk, sit by the lake, rest, or simply be. This is part of the retreat, not leftover time.

FOOD: All meals are provided, beginning with dinner on the first day of the session.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE: Check-in starts at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 17, and dinner is the first scheduled event at 6 p.m. Check-out on Sunday, July 19 will occur at 12 p.m.

LODGING: Lodging for this retreat is in a communal setting assigned by Camp Chickagami. For participants who prefer a private room off-site, hotels are available within a short drive of camp — contact us and we're happy to share options.

DEPOSITS & FEES:
All sessions require a $50 deposit (your deposit is included in your total session cost). You are not officially enrolled until your deposit is received electronically or by mail. Your spot will be saved without a deposit for 30 days.

In addition to the camp fees, a $30 registration fee will be added to your account. This offsets the cost of our registration platform.

Tiered pricing begins at $300. Pricing includes all meals and lodging for the weekend beginning with dinner on Friday evening and concluding after Eucharist on Sunday morning.

Scholarships are available. Application is included in the registration process.
