New, Returning or Volunteer Staff Application
Description
Welcome to the Staff Application for Great Lakes Episcopal Camping and Retreats programs for new, returning, or volunteer staff.

BEFORE YOU CONTINUE:
Make sure you have the names and email addresses for THREE non-related references for your employment.

Steps to getting hired for our programs:
1. Complete your application
2. Have three references complete a reference check form (included in application process)
3. Our staff will connect with you once we have application
4. Follow up with your references to ensure they have filled out their forms.

This year we will be running various program opportunities from mid-June through the beginning of August. Family camps at Camp Chickagami, overnight camps at Stony Lake Camp and Camp Chickagami, day camps at Camp Chickagami, off-site day camps at churches around the state and traveling trip camps. Summer Camp Counselors will provide support to all programs during the summer.

Details about dates for staff training and sessions is within the application.

Adult Volunteers (18+) serve for specific week(s) or program areas.

Interviews and hiring will be on a rolling basis. All staff must have a background check and complete all paperwork before employment is confirmed.

Please note that thoughtful yet brief responses are welcomed in our application. If you have difficulty accessing or completing the application, contact camping@greatlakesepiscopal.org and we can help you!

All persons hired for our camp staff are encouraged to have current certifications in first aid and CPR and required to submit the Consent to Treat form, and complete a Voluntary Disclosure Statement about criminal history. Opportunities for certifications will be made available to staff hired early in the season.

Questions? Concerns? Ideas? Contact camping@greatlakesepiscopal.org.

Note: If you are under 18 years old and applying to be a Junior Staff person, you will be required to have your parent or guardian create your account for you. The reason for this is, while you may be applying to be a staff person, you are still a minor and the State of Michigan requires us to have certain permissions from your parents to employ you at our camp.
