Join the Rev. Radha Kaminski for a restorative and inspiring retreat at Camp Chickagami, designed for fiber artists of all skill levels seeking a deeper connection with their craft, themselves, and the divine. This retreat offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in your creative process within a supportive community, while also nurturing your spiritual journey through contemplative practices.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND? This retreat is open to fiber artists of all kinds and skill levels, from beginners to experienced professionals. Whether you are seeking creative inspiration, spiritual renewal, or simply a peaceful escape, you are welcome here.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:
- Enjoy ample time to focus on your fiber arts projects in community setting - a peaceful and inspiring environment. Whether you knit, crochet, weave, spin, felt, quilt, or explore other fiber arts, this retreat provides the space and the community to encourage your creative flow.
- Contemplative Practices: Rev. Radha Kaminski will guide participants in various contemplative practices, including: Meditation, Prayer, Reflection on Creativity as a Spiritual Practice, Sharing Circles
- Community Building: Connect with fellow fiber artists, share inspiration, and build lasting friendships in a warm and welcoming community.
- Optional Excursion: On Saturday, an optional off-site excursion will be offered to the Northern Michigan Fiber Festival in Alpena, providing an opportunity to explore the vibrant fiber arts community and discover new inspiration. FOOD: All meals are provided, beginning with dinner on
the first day of the session.
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE: Check-in starts at 3 p.m. on the first day of the session, and dinner is the first scheduled event at 6 p.m. Check-out on the last day of the program will occur at 12 p.m.
Lodging for this retreat will be in a communal setting assigned by Camp Chickagami. If you have requests for cabin mates, please let us know during registration.
DEPOSITS & FEES:
All sessions require a $50 deposit (your deposit is included in your total session cost). You are not officially enrolled until your deposit is received electronically or by mail. Your spot will be saved without a deposit for 30 days.
In addition to the camp fees, a $30 registration fee will be added to your account. This off-sets the cost of our registration platform.
Tiered pricing begins at $300. Commuters and non-retreat participants staying on site are welcome for $200 for the weekend. Pricing includes all meals and lodging for the weekend beginning with dinner on the first evening and concluding with lunch on departure day.
