Mission Trips In January and March of each year, our staff has the opportunity to serve on mission trips in partnership with our sister ministry, CBM Honduras. These trips allow our team to build meaningful relationships and share the love of Jesus with children, teens, and families through camps, outreach, and discipleship. Over the past several years, Honduras has become especially dear to our Ponderosa family. While serving there, both Allison Nelson and Faith Nelson met the men who would later become their husbands. Because of these relationships, the people of Honduras are more than a ministry field to us—they are family. We have a special heart for our Honduran family and for helping them reach their own communities with the Gospel. Our desire is to serve alongside local believers and ministry leaders, encourage them in their work, and help them reach the next generation for Christ. Donations to the Mission Trips category help: • Provide scholarships for children and teens to attend a full week of camp in Honduras • Purchase arts and crafts supplies that we take with us for camp activities • Provide meals for children and families in the local community • Help provide Bibles, notebooks, bedding, and other needs for campers • Help cover travel and ministry expenses for our team as we go where God sends us Sponsor a Honduras Teen Camper You can also use the Mission Trips category to sponsor a teenager for Honduras Teen Camp. A gift of $300 sponsors one camper and helps provide a full week of camp, including food, lodging, bedding, crafts, Bibles, notebooks, and other needs that arise that we are able to help meet. A small portion of each $300 sponsorship also helps cover airfare for our mission team so we can travel to Honduras and serve during camp. You may sponsor one camper, sponsor several campers, or give any amount toward the need. No gift is too large or too small. We simply ask you to prayerfully give whatever amount the Lord lays on your heart. Our heart is simple: if God sends us, we will go. Your generosity allows us to invest directly in the lives of children and families, making it possible for them to experience camp, hear the Gospel, grow in their faith, and be encouraged by believers who love them.
