Field Hockey
Description
Join Stuart’s experienced and outstanding coaching staff for a fun-filled week of learning new skills, practicing team play and individual drills. Players will be grouped by skill level. Girls of all levels are encouraged and welcome to attend. Everyone will have a great time preparing for the season … and a lifetime of sports. This session DOES NOT include lunch. Lunch is available for purchase in Options.

Faculty Bio:
Missy, a 1980 graduate of Princeton High School, earned her BS in Physical Education at West Virginia Wesleyan College graduating in 1984. Prior to joining the Stuart community in 1986, Missy taught for two years at the St. Paul School in Princeton, NJ and coached field hockey and softball at Princeton High School. Since 1987, Missy has been a significant member of the Stuart community, teaching elementary and middle school physical education. She has been actively involved in Stuart’s athletic programs as either an assistant, junior varsity, or middle school coach throughout her tenure.

A pivotal part of the Stuart athletic program throughout the years, Bruvik has been a key member of both the Varsity Field Hockey and Varsity Lacrosse coaching staffs, leading the field hockey program for 22 years and the lacrosse program for 11 years.
Recently selected by The Trenton Times as the Mercer County Field Hockey Coach of the Decade, Missy has coached the U-16 and the U-19 Garden State Field Hockey teams and has been recognized as the State and County Coach of The Year multiple times in both field hockey and lacrosse. Missy’s impressive coaching statistics include well over 200 wins in field hockey, four Mercer County Field Hockey titles, ten NJ State Field Hockey titles and six NJ State Lacrosse titles.

A tremendous athlete in her own right, Bruvik has been inducted into the Princeton High School Athletic Hall of Fame. She has held game, season and career scoring records for PHS Field Hockey, and still has the distinction of holding game, season and career scoring records at both West Virginia Wesleyan College and Princeton High School.

Lunch is available for purchase for $40/week for half day programs; full day programs at Summer at Stuart include lunch. Morning sessions end at 12:00 and afternoon sessions begin at 12:30.
