Join us as we explore the visual arts through architecture, painting, sculpting, and drawing and fine arts through performance and dance! This exciting week is not to be missed- be prepared to explore Stuart's beautiful campus and let your creative side run wild!

This session includes a morning snack and lunch for your camper.

Andres Felipe Duque completed his B.A. in fine arts and anthropology at Los Andes University in Bogotá-Colombia. Mr. Duque came to the United States to continue his education in anthropology at California State University Bakersfield and at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he graduated with an M.F.A. in film, video and new media. He studied Italian culture and art at the University of Florence during a summer program and continues his love for learning. He develops innovative projects inspired by art history, nature and architecture as gallery director and art teacher at Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart since 2017. Mr. Duque participated in the Sacred Heart Roots Conference at St. Charles, MO. 2023. Where he met teachers from all the schools in North America and learned about the history of the Sacred Heart community. He has been interested in sports, coached soccer and has been coaching tennis for the last two years in Middle School at Stuart. Mr. Duque received a Colfuturo grant, School of the Art Institute of Chicago Fellowship, the SAIC Graduate International Student grant and the Impact leadership award at SAIC. https://aduqueart.weebly.com/

Jacqueline Silva joined Stuart as a Lower School drama and theology specialist in 2021. Jacqueline additionally serves as the Lower School leadership and service coordinator, and creates opportunities for students to learn about their unique qualities as leaders and how they can be used for the benefit of the community. She works with Lower, Middle, and Upper School students on various performing arts productions as a director and choreographer. When she is not at Stuart, she enjoys curling up with a good book, hiking with her dog Zid, and dancing up a storm in ballet, jazz, and tap class.
