Sharpen your aim and shooting skills. Your instructor will show you the safest and best way to enjoy the sport. With practice, maybe you can hit the bullseye! When you sign up, you are signing up for the entire week, not for the day. Through the week, you will learn the basics of archery and sharpen your skills. A reminder that all archery students must be at least 12 years old and able to pull back a bow. | |
Challenge Course
Climb a tower or stack milk crates, suspend thirty feet in the air on the High Ropes Course, soar on the Giant Swing, and conquer the Team Wall in the Challenge Course class. Face your fears, develop leadership skills, and build teamwork through exciting and rewarding adventures! | |
Decorating Birdhouse Gourds
Get hands-on as you turn a natural gourd into your very own birdhouse! Campers will prepare their gourd before painting it. Create something both beautiful and functional to take home - and maybe even welcome a few feathered friends! Open to campers 9+ years, but accompanied with adult if under the age of 12.

Do you love to sketch or have you always wanted to try it out? This class offers a foundational introduction to artistic techniques while engaging with nature at Camp Au Sable. Take in the scenery while sketching a masterpiece of your own with graphite, pen, or colored pencils. | |

Join our Waterfront Fishing Class, where we will experience the fun and excitement of fishing while learning essential angling skills! Horse Riding Class
Perfect for all riding experience levels, this class helps you build confidence while having fun with others. You’ll enjoy group riding lessons, guided trail rides, and hands-on activities. Groups are divided by experience, so you’ll feel safe, supported, and ready to ride. | |

Microscopic Life
Learn about how to use two different types of microscopes with lots of hands-on experience. Finding something microscopic to look at can be half the fun. Open up a whole new world that God has made. | |
Phone Photography
Capture amazing photos using your smartphone! This fun, fast-paced class is designed for ages 10 and up and will teach you the basic principles of photography (lighting, composition, depth of field, etc.) and how to apply them using your smartphone. In no time, you will learn how to turn everyday moments into stunning images worthy of a magazine cover. Bring your phone, creativity, and a willingness to learn!
Class is taught by award-winning Annmarie Walker, who has been a professional newborn, child, and family photographer for 15+ years. She has a passion for teaching others how to create and capture forever memories. | |
Plein Air Art
This class uses different art mediums such as watercolors, pastels, and ink to create a vivid picture of nature. You will be taken around Camp Au Sable to put the beauty of camp onto paper yourself! Open to ages 12+.

Sewing with Donna
This creatively cool class is a week-long commitment. Projects will cost $5-15 depending on the project. Participants must be ages 9+ and if under the age of 12, accompanied by a parent. This class is located in the basement of the Forest Lodge. | |
Sketching Through Scripture
Exlpore Scripture in a creative and engaging way through visual note-taking and sketching. This class will introduce simple techniques to help you draw, doodle, and diagram what you’re learning from the Bible-no artistic experience required! Sourdough Bread Making
Have you wanted to learn how to make and bake (and taste) your own delicious sourdough bread? Join us for this hands-on, introductory sourdough bread making class as we learn the art of sourdough from start(er) to finish! Open to all ages, if under 12 must be accompanied by a guardian.

Love the lake and everything around it? This class is all about adventure and discovery! You’ll snorkel, kayak, and explore different parts of the waterfront while learning more about nature and God’s incredible creation. Wee Felty Friends
In this class, you will learn to make miniature dolls and stuffed animals with felt. A basic knowledge of hand sewing/embroidery is helpful, but not necessary. Under 10 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
