Campers will have the choice to paint a mug, vase, cookie jar, and more. They will also learn that Bisque is not a soup and greenware is not found in the kitchen drawer. | |
Challenge Course
Climb a tower or Milk Crates, dangle thirty feet in the air in the High Ropes Course, and conquer the Team Wall in the Challenge Course Class. In this class, you will conquer your fears, learn leadership skills, and build teamwork. | |
Drawing 101
Whether you love to draw or are simply wanting to learn, this class is for you! You will have the opportunity to learn the basics of drawing and try your hand at capturing some of the Camp Au Sable scenery! | |
Fishing
If you enjoy fishing or want to try fishing for the first time, you enjoying fishing in Lake Shellenberger. Guided by a staff, you will be able to learn new skills and sharpen old techniques! | |

Ever wonder what it's like to work at the Horsebarn or own a horse of your own? This class dives into how we work with our horses at Camp Au Sable, as well as how we help pass on our knowledge to others! | |
Kitchen Creations
Enjoy the kitchen? Enjoy taste testing? In this class, you will have an experience with at least three ingredients, that when put together can never go wrong: flour, oil and sugar. But more than baking sweets, you will also learn health benefits of certain foods, and the chemistry behind bread! | |
Microscopic Life
This is a class where you will learn to use 2 different types of microscopes. With them you can use the microscopes to look at the cool things that grow in the ponds and lake at Camp Au Sable! | |
Reptiles
Discover the underworld life of reptiles. You can help care for the reptiles we have in the nature center. Learn about their life cycle and how God created them with unique survival skills – and how sin has affected them as well! | |
Riding Class
Splits into two sections, one for beginners and one for advanced riders. Students in this class will spend most of their time on horseback, learning new things every day! | |
Rock Climbing
Conquer your fears and climb to the top of the rock wall in the Rock Climbing class. In this class, you’ll complete challenging routes, climb blindfolded, climb tied to a friend, and learn better climbing techniques. | |

Welding
The only class that involves (safe) use of electricity, metal, and fire. Bend, cut, and weld together a project of your design under the supervision of an expert instructor.
Long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toe shoes REQUIRED. | |
