Session 3: Rock Band 101 Ages 8-11
Description
Are you a complete beginner? This is the program for you! Experience the excitement of being part of a band and performing on stage, even if you’ve never played a musical instrument before!

This immersive experience gives beginners the opportunity to build real musical skills under the guidance of expert coaches. In Week 1, you’ll learn the very basics of guitar, drums, bass, keys and vocals from experts--and you’ll have the chance to explore which instruments you enjoy the most. Then, in Week 2 you’ll take those basic skills and rehearse as a band to prepare to perform LIVE on stage in NYC!

Bands are grouped by age. No experience needed. All instruments provided.

Band Rehearsal & Lunch 9:30am-1:30pm
In band rehearsal, kids will collaborate with their instructor and bandmates and work step by step to prepare for the show! The will also learn about the roles of each instrument, how to use amps/microphones/etc, stagecraft (or how to look like a rockstar on stage).

Songwriting, Music Production, and more! 1:30-3:00pm
In the afternoon we mix it up! Kids will get to work with different groups and teachers. Plus, the kids will get to write an original song as a group in Songwriting Class AND create their own beats and music in Music Production. Bonus, we will have games, music listening, and more!

Throughout the session, groups will also do band visits, have a dress rehearsal, break-out sessions for individual attention ...and of course, it's all to get ready for the SHOW - Live on-stage in NYC!

Booster Lessons
EIGHT 30m Private Lessons either before or after each camp day depending on teacher/studio availability.

These lessons can be on your primary instrument OR on a secondary instrument that you'd like to work on.

Typically campers use the lessons to work on songs and techinques that they are learning in their band.

NOTE: Boosters run from Day 2 - Day 9. No booster lessons on Day 1 or Show Day!		+ $288.00
