Look Out! Dinosaurs, Pterousaurs and Prehistoric Creatures, Oh My!
Description
Do you love dinosaurs? Are you fascinated with unusual , prehistoric creatures like Rhamphorynchus, Quetzacoatl and Dunkleosteus? Then this is the class for you! Come take a trip back in time when dinosaurs ruled the earth! Did you know that not all dinosaurs were alive at the same time? We will learn about different dinosaurs like Coelophysis, Apatosaurus and Tyrannosaurus Rex and if they lived in the Triassic, Jurassic or Cretaceous Period. Learn about how fossils are made and make your own dinosaur fossil to take home. Discover which dinosaurs were herbivores, carnivores or omnivores. Make a spiky Stegosaurus headband and create an ammonite fossil water color painting. Each day we will begin with a story and educational video about a different dinosaur or prehistoric creature. There will be a Dinosaur Dig Pit where you can excavate dino skulls, feathers, and rocks. You will get to take some of the beautiful rocks home with you. Maybe you want to investigate our fossil lab where you can sort fossils like shark teeth, ammonites, crinoid stems, and brachiopods. Friday we will end the week with a Dinosaur Egg Hunt, Play "Are You Smarter Than The Dinosaur Teacher ?" and Play Dinosaur Bingo for prizes. It will be a Roaring Good Time! Instructor: Rebecca Udzik
