Pictures into Poems, Sketches into Stories: Written Responses to Art (Future Friar Fun Week!)
Description
Students entering grades 6-8 are invited to join us for Future Friar Fun Week!

Bring your interests in writing and art to this session! We will read and discuss examples of ekphrasis (writing about works of art), with a special focus on the many brilliant poems written in response to Bruegel's painting, "Landscape with the Fall of Icarus." Students will then select an image and craft their own creative responses in poetry or prose, which we will read aloud and discuss together.
