Grade Level: Incoming Freshmen
Course Dates/Times: Monday, June 15 - Thursday, July 9, 2026 (Mondays - Thursdays)

This course, offered for incoming freshmen, will support students in building skills for academic writing at the high school level. Students will practice developing claims and thesis statements, integrating strong textual evidence, and organizing and structuring their ideas. This course will also include practice with sentence structure, punctuation, and proofreading.

Workbook Fee: When students register for this course, they will also be charged a $30 workbook fee to purchase the course text, which will be provided to students in class at the start of the course.
