Gr 6 Wilderness Ridge Camp Class Trip
Description
This two day overnight retreat for all sixth graders is held at Pleasant Vineyard Ministries, an inter-denominational camp in Camden, Ohio (about an hour north of CHCA). The retreat program centers on spiritual development and team building. Your child will also experience outdoor chapels with a guest speaker, high-adventure programs, nature studies, challenge courses, a campfire and more!

For the students, camp will promote community, empathy, and a vision to serve one another through loving and compassionate behaviors. For parents, this is the perfect time to help your child learn to fly solo, under the guidance of the staff and volunteers at camp.

Price includes all meals, lodging in gender-separated cabins with bunk beds, and programming. Please consider joining us! To provide the best possible experience for our students, we need 6-7 female and 6-7 male parent volunteers (in addition to the sixth grade teachers, who will be directing all activities and leading the small group discussions). You can sign up during registration.

The camp is part of the sixth grade curriculum and all students are expected to attend. If problems prevent your student from attending, please contact your building's principal.

Finally - please pray for God’s vision for this camp to continue to unfold in His design, not ours, and lastly for preparation of the kids’ hearts to “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
