Gr 7-8 CHCA FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Training Camp - CHCA Students Only
Description
FTC Training Camp introduces and builds upon foundational skills used in competitive robotics.  Via daily “mini-projects,” campers will be introduced to and apply skills from every sub-set which contributes to the overall function of the FTC competition – CAD/3D software, electrical wiring, coding/programming, etc. Retuning Members from the 2025-2026 FTC Beak Squad will be challenged to fill skill-gaps and build upon their existing FTC knowledge and experience.

On Friday, Campers will take-home their mini-project work to share/show their skills.

**Please Note**
FTC Training Camp is NOT a requirement to participate in CHCA’s 2026-2027 FTC Beak Squad Team. However, just like athletics, students who attend Training Camp will be better equipped to contribute their God-given gifts and interests during the upcoming FTC Competition Season.

* WHERE
The session will be held at Founders Campus.

* WHAT TO BRING
--Campers should wear CLOSED-TOE tennis-type shoes for safety during outdoor “brain break” (NO CROCS)
--Campers should bring: water bottle, personal snack (nut-free) *Label all items with Camper’s name
--Campers should bring or pre-apply sunscreen if necessary as there will be 1-2x 15 minute brain breaks
