Gr 3-6 CHCA FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Training Camp - For CHCA Students ONLY
Description
FLL Training Camp introduces and builds upon foundational skills used in competitive robotics. Campers will work in small groups to design and program a robot to complete various Missions on a table-top competition field. Campers will be challenged to develop their coding and problem-solving skills, expand their critical thinking skills and creative design solutions, and foster peer collaboration and a growth mindset.

Students who are returning Lower School FLL Beak Squad Team Members will be challenged with Advanced Training to fill skill-gaps and build upon their existing FLL knowledge and experience.

After camp at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 31st there will be a “Show & Tell” for immediate family members of campers. Dinner will be provided (pizza, chips, popsicles, etc) followed by time for campers to present their robots and demo Missions on the competition field.

**Please Note**
FLL Training Camp is NOT a requirement to participate in CHCA’s 2026-2027 Lower School FLL Beak Squad Teams. However, just like athletics, students who attend Training Camp will be better equipped to contribute their God-given gifts and interests during the upcoming FLL Competition Season.

* WHAT TO BRING
--Campers should wear CLOSED-TOE tennis-type shoes for safety during outdoor “brain break” (NO CROCS)
--Campers should bring: water bottle, personal snack (nut-free) *Label all items with Camper’s name
--Campers should bring or pre-apply sunscreen if necessary as there will be 1-2x 15 minute brain breaks
