Winter Seed Sowing
Description
Discover the secrets of winter seed sowing and how seeds can grow even in the cold through the expert guidance of the Delaware County Master Gardeners! In this hands-on program, participants will learn which types of seeds are ideal for winter sowing, how the process works, and why it’s a natural, low-maintenance way to start plants before spring. Using recycled jugs, we’ll explore techniques for planting, protecting, and nurturing seedlings throughout the winter. Participants will plant their own seeds in a jug to take home, gaining practical skills and a deeper understanding of plant life cycles, seed germination, and sustainable gardening practices.
