Kernels, Chemistry & Crunchy Science
Description
Get ready to uncover the mini pressure explosions happening inside every single popcorn kernel. Young scientists will dive into the physics of heat and steam, make kernels "dance" using gas-producing chemistry, test how popped corn behaves in milk versus water (will it sink, float, or turn to mush?), and finish up by popping—and eating—their very own fresh, delicious batch!
Please meet at the Basement Cafeteria.
Boys will be enjoying freshly popped corn at the end of class and using milk in an experiment that will NOT be consumed.
