The Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Rowing program is well known nationwide as a premier rowing program. This camp is designed for athletes who are curious about the sport and want to experience it first hand.

While at the camp, athletes will start by learning the rowing stroke on the indoor rowing machines. They will be overseen by our expert staff, which has over forty years of coaching experience, as well as recent graduates of OLSM who are now rowing collegiately and can share first-hand experience what it is like to row at OLSM!

From there, the athletes will spend as much time on the water as possible as they learn the sequences and techniques that move a boat efficiently. Coaches will be in the water next to the boats to provide feedback and demonstrate the rowing stroke.

The week will culminate with a race in front of the boathouse. Some of our varsity athletes will be in attendance to help fill out boats and meet the next generation of OLSM rowers. Afterwards, we will have pizza and drinks for the athletes. Parents are welcome to join us!
