Description
Moving for Better Balance is an evidence-based health intervention course, inspired by Tai Chi, that aims to help participants improve their balance and prevent falls. The course lasts 12 weeks, with two classes per week. Research has demonstrated that those
who attend consistently can show the greatest range of improvement in their balance.

This fall session will be offered on-site on Mondays and Thursdays at 4:00pm -5:00pm from August 31st, 2026, to November 19th, 2026, in the Dance Studio at Fisher Gymnasium. Dates, times, and locations may be subject to change due to space or staff availability, or weather.

Led by trained instructors, this class has thus far shown improvement in 100% of completing participants, with the average participant demonstrating 27% improvement across the different dynamics of balance and equilibrium.

Spaces are limited to prioritize new participants, with minimal spaces being held for folks interested in continuing from a previous course.
