Nature Connection Workshop
Description
Life Adventure Center is excited to offer this workshop in collaboration with Carolyn Schuyler, LCSW and KY Harm Reduction Coalition. Nature connection and social prescribing are practices based in trauma-informed care and relational safety. Participants in the workshop will learn how these practices are related to social determinants of health, combating the loneliness epidemic, and applications for both prevention and support.

Carolyn will be facilitating this workshop with the support of Life Adventure Center staff and facilities. Starting with a 3-hour session Friday 2-5p, participants will learn about the theories and practices behind social prescribing and the benefits of nature connection. Saturday's 6hr session from 9-4p will allow time to put the theories into action. Participants will gain expanded knowledge and have the opportunity to put the skills into action while brainstorming ways to integrate the practice into their individual settings. No meals will be provided, but we encourage folks bring their own OR take a short drive to Versailles to enjoy one of our local favorites.

The workshop is priced at $85 per person for both days with no meals included. Life Adventure Center & Carolyn will provide the materials needed for the experience. We want this experience to be accessible to as many people as possible. If the cost is a barrier, please call our office directly or email paige@LifeAdventureCenter.org funding assistance. If you or your organization has capacity to pay more than the base fee, please click the link to donate and designate "Nature Connection Workshop". These additional funds will offset the cost of training for those who need financial assistance and will ensure we're able to cover costs for the event.
