Refund Policy

In general:

Session Cancellation Policy
If you wish to cancel, you must notify Wayzata Sailing in writing (via email or US mail) at least two weeks prior to the start of the session to receive a refund (no phone messages will be accepted). There will be no refunds given after that time.All refunds are subject to a $30 cancellation fee to cover booking charges.

Session Change Policy
If you wish to transfer your registration from one session to another, we would be happy to accommodate your request. Please contact Wayzata Sailing in writing (via email or US mail) at least two weeks prior to the start of the session and include all pertinent session details. A WS staff member will contact you by phone to complete the transfer. Session changes are subject to availability. Session transfers are subject to an additional $10 charge to cover registration fees.

Session Refund Policy
Refunds can only be issued for classes cancelled at least two weeks prior to the session. Refunds cannot be issued for: sessions cancelled within two weeks of their start date, missed sessions, or partially attended sessions.

Weather, Staff, or Equipment Related Cancellations
In extreme circumstances, Wayzata Sailing may choose to cancel a session or course. Should this occur, it will be solely at Wayzata Sailing’s discretion whether the course is rebooked or refunded. Sessions will only be cancelled should A) Equipment not be available due to breakage, B) Staff not be available, or C) Weather or wind will not allow for any on-the-water activities during the entirety of a course. Weather is a part of sailing, is variable, and entirely out of our control. Operatively this means that absolutely no courses or sessions that span multiple days shall be eligible for refund, rebooking, or make-up upon cancellation.
