Refund Policy
Registration and Wait-lists:
School's Out Camp is offered to all MSD students (except Infants and Toddlers) on most Teacher Workdays, Conference Days, and Spring Break.
Fees for School's Out camp days are not included in regular After School tuition, and parents must register separately for the days they wish to use. The MSD Google Calendar is a good resource for keeping track of camp days and registration can be made on the Auxiliary Programs registration portal. There is NO drop-in care available on School's Out camp days. Space is reserved in advance on a First-Come, First-Serve basis. If there is no space, you will be contacted ASAP. Registrations received after the deadline will be placed on a wait-list. If space becomes available, a $10 late fee will be assessed. Refunds are not issued after the School's Out camp enrollment deadline due to the fact that we have scheduled and contracted with Staff.
The Enrichment program gives MSD students and the community the opportunity to experience various activities outside of class. Enrichment classes may include music lessons, soccer, drama, martial arts, STEM and environmental education. Registration for classes typically occurs in August (for Fall Enrichments) and again in December (Winter and Spring Enrichments). The Auxiliary Programs registration portal can be found under the Community section of the MSD website. Cancellations made after the Enrichment enrollment deadline are not refundable unless MSD or the Enrichment provider cannot provide the classes for any reason. Once the Enrichment enrollment deadline has passed, we contract with the provider for the number of students who have enrolled. The registration window for Enrichments will remain open until the program is full or two weeks before the program begins, whichever comes first. Cancellations for Enrichments will be refunded only if made before the Enrichment deadline.
For families not enrolled in After School who would like to have their child stay in After School before and/or after an Enrichment class, Drop-in care is offered at a special Enrichment rate of $10 per hour, space permitting. Parents may sign up for Drop-in Care at the Enrichment rate only at the time of registration; later arrangements will be billed at the Regular or Emergency Drop-in care rates (see above).
MSD and non-MSD students ages 3 through rising 7th grade may register for MSD's Summer Camps, featuring creative play and whole-child development through games, cooking, and water play. Children can be enrolled for the entire summer of camps or a week of camp at a time. Campers will play daily outdoors on our playgrounds, listen to stories, and work on arts and crafts. Each week has a theme, such as insects & gardening, simple machines, or music. Within these themes, we create fun art activities, games, and much more!
The summer camps are held from 8:00am-12:00pm or 8:00am-3:00pm. We offer an extended hours option until 3:00pm, 4:00pm, or 5:30pm for an additional cost. Generally, registration for all summer camps will be posted on our website by the end of January. See Summer Camp Registration & Policies. Children must be completely toilet-trained and independent in the bathroom.
