This Privacy Policy is effective November 10, 2008.
A. Personal Information.
For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes no information regarding the domain or e-mail address.
We collect information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations. In particular, when you register for one of our summer camps for children or for one of our other activities, we will ask you to provide personal information necessary for the registration process.
With respect to cookies: we use cookies to record session information, such as items that consumers add to their shopping cart.
B. Uses of Information.
We use the information that we collect to complete the registration process for our summer camps for children or our other activities, as you request. We may also use your information to inform you of other activities, products or services offered by the Great Lakes Science Center and its affiliates, and to send you relevant survey invitations related to our summer camps, other activities, and other products or services.
We do not sell, rent or lease our customer lists to third parties. In order to help provide our services, we occasionally provide information to other companies that work on our behalf.
Persons who supply us with only their telephone numbers on-line will only receive telephone contact from us with information regarding orders they have placed on-line.
With respect to Ad Servers: we do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies.
From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our Web site to notify you of these changes. With respect to security: when we transfer and receive certain types of sensitive information such as financial or health information, we redirect visitors to a secure server and will notify visitors through a pop-up screen on our site. We have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site.
Privacy of Children on Our Web Site: To ensure compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, the Great Lakes Science Center does not knowingly collect or maintain personal information provided by children under the age of 13 without the consent of a parent/guardian.
