Teen Leadership Weekends in the Pines
Teen Leadership Weekends are an opportunity for teens who have attended introductory courses to delve deeper into the skills of survival, tracking, and awareness - in an environment of fun, fellowship, and 'dirt time'. This event is one weekend in a 10-month series. For more information on the series, click here.
By attending monthly weekend gatherings, teens create a connection with the Pine Barrens through all the seasons, see the fruits of their labor as they help with long term caretaking projects, and work together to create a teen 'primitive camp' they can return to month after month. Teens will have the chance to request topics to be covered each weekend.
Teen weekends also serve as a step toward taking a leadership role within Coyote Tracks Youth Programs as a whole - as those who put in significant dirt time and show initiative may be invited back to family courses as interns.
We will meet at Wells Mills County Park (905 Wells Mills Rd, Waretown, NJ 08758) between 10am and 3pm on Friday for drop-off, and between 12pm and 4pm on Sunday for pick-up.
Your tuition covers all teaching materials and food for the weekend. We offer sliding scale tuition that allows you to choose your price. By selecting the level you can reasonably afford, you help keep our programs accessible to as many families as possible. Thank you for your support!
We hope to see you soon!
