Description
Are you hard working, fun-loving, dedicated, adventurous, out-going, and enjoy spending time with children? If the answer is yes, we would love to have you join us this summer as we make "Adventure Awaits Summer 2020" an amazing experience for our campers!Staff members spend the summer on the lake, singing silly songs, creating memories, mentoring children, making friends and gaining valuable experience.

You're probably wondering.....What do I do when I am a staff member? Here is some general details of what it means to be a staff member at 4-H Camp Kidwell. To see the details of each position, please on the binoculars next to the position in the list below.

Staff Members.....
-will attend Staff Leadership Training June 14-19, 2020
-work weekly sessions (sessions runs Sunday-Friday(weekends off))
-are required to live on site/stay in cabins with the campers(some exceptions made)
-are provided room and board when they work at camp
-help to provide a SAFE, FUN AND LOVING environment
-take part in camper supervision
-are involved in planning, organizing and leading daily and weekly activities
-are required to have First Aid and CPR certification
-may be asked to get certification or training to hold some positions


Hiring Process Details
Each applicant will provide a resume, 3 reference, participate in at least one interview, have a background check(18+) and are subject to a drug test.

Arts and Crafts InstructorOrganize, plan, prepare and implement the arts and crafts program for "Adventure Awaits Summer 2020." Also provide guidance, support and adult supervision for our campers. Work with your fellow staff members to make this summer an amazing experience for our campers.

Assistant DirectorHelp plan, prepare and implement "Adventure Awaits Summer 2020." Work with the Camp Director and Program Director to make this summer an amazing experience for our campers and staff.

Canoe InstructorOrganize, plan, prepare and implement the canoe/boating program for "Adventure Awaits Summer 2020."
assist with overseeing the camp waterfront and supervision swimming times. Also provide guidance, support and adult supervision for our campers. Work with your fellow staff members to make this summer an amazing experience for our campers.

CounselorWork with our campers to give them a safe, fun and educational experience during "Adventure Awaits Summer 2020." Provide guidance, support and adult supervision for our campers. Also, work with our program staff to provide programs and activities for our campers.

This is a summer, seasonal position.
Counselor in Training (C.I.T.)C.I.T.s focus is two fold, first and foremost, they gain valuable experience and training to become our counselors of the future. C.I.T.'s spend time with counselors and other staff members to observe how camp programming works and gain valuable hands on experience helping give our campers a great experience. This job shadowing program ranges from living in the cabin with the counselor and campers and sharing meals with the cabin group to assisting in activities. The second and most time consuming part of the program is working in the kitchen helping to prepare, set up, serve and clean up meals. C.I.T.'s typically work in the kitchen for two meals a day, washing dishes, setting tables, serving food, and cleaning up. Additionally, C.I.T.'s are given the opportunity to assist in other camp programs.

This is a summer, seasonal volunteer position. C.I.T.'s attend staff leadership training and volunteer for at least an additional two weeks throughout the summer.
Drama InstructorOrganize, plan, prepare and implement the drama program for "Adventure Awaits Summer 2020." Also provide guidance, support and adult supervision for our campers. Work with your fellow staff members to make this summer an amazing experience for our campers.

This is a summer, seasonal position.
Head CookOversee and implement the Food Service program for our campers and staff. Work with the other leadership team members and staff to make this summer an amazing experiences for our campers.

Head CounselorHelp plan, prepare and implement "Adventure Awaits Summer 2020." Work directly with our counselors to help them know what their job is, help them do their job to the best of their ability and provide support for them when they face challenges. Work with the rest of the leadership team to make this summer an amazing experience for our campers and staff.

Horseback Riding AssistantAssist in Organizing, planning, preparing and implementing the horseback program for "Adventure Awaits Summer 2020." Also provide guidance, support and supervision for our campers. Work with your fellow staff members to make this summer an amazing experience for our campers.

Recreation and Games InstructorOrganize, plan, prepare and implement the Recreation/sports/games program for "Adventure Awaits Summer 2020." Also provide guidance, support and adult supervision for our campers. Work with your fellow staff members to make this summer an amazing experience for our campers.

Team Building InstructorOrganize, plan, prepare and implement the team building program for "Adventure Awaits Summer 2020." Also provide guidance, support and adult supervision for our campers. Work with your fellow staff members to make this summer an amazing experience for our campers.
