SAM Camp 2023 and your Pilgrim Firs Staff welcome you all back to camp!
Here are some of the particulars of our camp this year:
o This year’s Summer Acoustic Music event will be held from 3 pm Sunday August 27th through noon Friday September 1st. Five nights.
o Attendance at this year’s SAM camp will be limited to 80 people.
o Completed Covid-19 vaccination, including the recommended post-vaccination waiting period, will be required to attend this year’s SAM camp. You will be asked to provide evidence of this by sending a photo or scan to firstname.lastname@example.org. This document will be deleted after verification.
o What we’re able to do while at camp -- such as playing, singing, and consuming meals together in enclosed spaces -- will be determined by CDC guidelines and regulations set by the State of Washington at the time of the camp. We’ll follow all of these. More details on this as the date for camp approaches.
o The registration fee for this year’s camp will be $590.00 per person, which includes both housing and meals.
o We’ll keep a wait list if the camp is oversubscribed.
o Cabin occupancy will probably be limited to a maximum of 6 people. We’ll use the cabins and South Lodge for housing. Rv and tent camping is also an option.
o Registration is for adults over the age of 18 only, but contact email@example.com if you want to attend with a musically-ambitious junior and we’ll see what we can do. No pets at camp, please.
o SAM registrants will be the only group at Pilgrim Firs during the time of the camp.
Please be prepared to be flexible about all aspects of camp this year. The emergence of a vaccine-resistant Covid variant, for example, could throw all our plans into disarray. Conversely, we could see restrictions relax during the coming months. We’ll have to literally “play it by ear” as we go forward. Do consider the uncertainties if you are planning to make airline reservations. In the unlikely event that Sam camp is canceled by Pilgrim Firs, the event managers or health department/state refund requests will be honored.
Please know if canceling for other reasons the $50 deposit will be retained.
