Thursdays in June (6, 13, 20, 27) from 6:00-7:00 pm

This class is for the beginner who has never knit before, but is curious about this fun and rewarding fiber craft. You will learn: basic knitting terminology; how to read a pattern; the concepts of negative, positive ease and gauge; yarn weight classifications; construction of the foundational knit stitch; how to cast on and bind off; the finishing and blocking process, and finally mattress stitch for seaming two edges of fabric together.

Materials Fee:
If you would like to purchase materials from the instructor, you are welcome to. Otherwise, you are also welcome to bring your own to the series. (You will be put in touch with the instructor about materials.)

$35 for worsted weight yarn and two colors of Purl Soho’s Hedgerow Tweed (sufficient to finish the handwarmer project) and US 6 (4mm) Chiao Goo Bamboo Circular Needles (or equivalent).
