Bookjoy, with Ms. Gonzales - Spring
Description
Welcome to Bookjoy! Join us as we create fun and incredibly inspiring crafts and experiments all inspired from the strange and oddly hilarious inspiring world of books. Students will spend time enjoying a picture book together and then explore and deepen their learning through experiments, craftiness and other inventive creations of their own design.

For example, after an inspired reading of Rabbit & Squirrel: A Tale of War and Peas, kids are invited to then set the scene from the story with their own amicable game being either a squirrel or a rabbit. Before they can play, they have to design their own (small) catapult and design their ears (tails optional) for some garden variety STEM extension of this funny and fruitful picture book. Don't worry, no food will be harmed in the making of this activity.

Additionally, Sometimes our minds can't quite see the same perspective as another person. We will read Duck! Rabbit!, this infuriating and highly contentious book of simply a duck, oh wait, no rabbit...uh! Well, you see what I mean. Together we will get through it and make our own tessellation.
