Junior Maine Woodscraft
Description
Campers will enjoy the true Maine wilderness and learn traditional outdoor skills in this exciting hands-on experience. Our Junior Maine Woodcraft campers begin by setting up their tents at one of Bryant Pond’s remote campsites located on Mt. Christopher. The week will be spent learning and practicing traditional backcountry skills, wilderness cooking, canoe travel, hiking, and more! There will also be plenty of time spent cooling off in and on the waters of beautiful Bryant Pond!

On Friday, each Junior Maine Woodcraft participant will receive their JMW patch, recognizing their achievement within this exciting program. The Junior Maine Woodcraft program is the first step towards becoming a Junior Maine Guide. Some campers will choose to follow the woodcraft path towards this achievement, while others simply enjoy the excitement and challenges of this wonderful program and may return to try something new.
