Python Data Science Program for Ages 12-16



Neo Data Explorers: An intensive 2-week Python Data Science Camp

Week 1: Foundations and Statistics

Week 2: Visualization and Projects


What Students Will Learn
Technology Skills Students will practice Python programming fundamentals including variables, lists, loops, and functions. They will learn to use professional data science tools and cloud-based development environments.

Statistical Thinking Students develop skills in asking research questions, collecting unbiased data, calculating descriptive statistics, and interpreting numerical results in context.

Data Visualization Students create professional charts and graphs using matplotlib, learning to choose appropriate visualizations for different types of data and audiences.

Communication Skills Students practice presenting their findings clearly, writing about their discoveries, and explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Suggested Follow-up Learning: Students who enjoy Data Explorers Camp may be interested in advanced programming camps, robotics programs, or continuing their Python journey with more complex data science projects.


Program Requirements and Setup
To participate in Data Explorers Camp, students will need access to basic technology and materials. Our program is designed to be accessible with minimal technical barriers.

Technology Requirements
· Laptop or Chromebook with reliable internet connection

· Google account for accessing Colab and Forms (free)

· Web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)

· Physical notebook for sketching ideas and planning


COOKING CAMP:
Our most popular track! Little chefs will create professional and delicious sweet and savory items using child-friendly recipes and only vegetarian, egg-free ingredients. Students gain hands-on chef skills, learn kitchen techniques, and experience the joy of making food while building confidence in a fun, supportive environment. (Menu will be shared soon.)

After 6:00 pm $1.00 will be charged per minute.		+ $75.00
Morning care 8:00 AM-9:00 AM
You may drop your child anytime for Morning Extended Care from 8:00am - 9:00 am at ICC Milpitas at an additional cost of $49. 		+ $49.00
