ICC MAIN CENTER SUMMER CAMPS 2026 - Lego Robotics Creature Bots, Sports & Our Universe Camp
Description
LEGO ROBOTICS, SPORTS & OUR UNIVERSE CAMP
Explore. Learn. Play.

Lego Robotics: Neo Creature Creator Bots camp:

Students who love animals will build a wide variety of robotic creatures that respond to their programmed commands. While working with partners and in small teams to solve engaging challenges, students will learn how to effectively use sensors, understand how different mechanical components function in their robots, and develop an appreciation for programming.

Throughout the camp, we will guide and support students as they strengthen their building skills, while also encouraging creativity through fun and imaginative design challenges. Students will create exciting robotic models such as a hungry alligator, a gorilla, a drumming monkey, dancing birds, giraffe, and many more.

It promises to be a fun, engaging, and inspiring learning experience for every young builder!

WHAT THE STUDENTS WILL LEARN

Simple Programming Skills
With each new model, students will program to operate their robotic build. Whether making their build respond to sensors, adding loops and sound effects, or modifying variables, students will gain valuable programming skills through a Scratch-based coding platform.

Understanding Mechanical Elements
In every activity, students will first identify the key mechanical components used in the robotic model before beginning the build. This approach helps them understand how different parts work together in the final design. Students will learn the purpose and importance of motors, sensors, gears, axles, the robot hub, and many other essential components.

Following Instructions
Throughout each lesson, students will listen carefully, understand routines, and follow step-by-step instructions to successfully complete their models and activities.

Communication and Collaboration Skills
Small groups and peer partnerships are key components of the Neo Creature Creator Bots program. We place strong emphasis on positive teamwork and encourage respectful collaboration among students. Through team projects and partner activities, students will strengthen their communication skills and learn how to work effectively and productively with others.

Sports:
Campers enjoy a variety of playful physical activities including soccer, basketball, athletics, stretching, and warm-ups. These games help develop coordination, balance, teamwork, focus, and overall fitness in an encouraging environment.

Our Universe:
Young learners explore space through stories, crafts, and hands-on activities about planets, stars, astronauts, and rockets. The program sparks curiosity about science and space while encouraging imagination and early interest in STEM learning.
